Favorite Yoga Pose - Why?
I always come back to triangle pose, where I get the beautiful sensation of body stretching and joint stacking that I don’t get anywhere else.
When I am not teaching or practicing yoga:
I am trying new craft beer or whiskey, petting my cats (Laverne and Shirley, they’re the best), spending time with people I love, reading books, binge watching TV shows and talking to strangers.
When I was little, I dreamed of:
Being a Janet Jackson backup dancer.
Now I dream of:
Finding ways to love people really well.
What else I want you to know about me:
Yoga has changed me in a multitude of ways, but the simplest and most profound change has been the acknowledgement of breath. Taking a moment in everyday life to disconnect from what’s going on in your mind and around you to focus on your next inhale and exhale; this is an incredibly powerful tool for generating calm and focus, one I probably wouldn’t have found without yoga.
